Background
yaSMS (acronym for Yet Another Symposium Management system) is a custom built conference management system for ISCB Student Council. The project started in 2014, as part of ISCB RSG UK. At that time, the Student Council was using ISCB's conference management system which was only available for SC's major events (i.e. SCS) and RSGs did not have ready access to the system. yaSMS version 0.1 was first used by RSG UK in October 2014 and later version 1.0 was first used for SCS Dublin 2015.
