Purpose[edit]
The Finance committee aims to create sufficient funds able to support the activities and growth of the Student Council. This includes events such as the Student Council Symposium and funding opportunities for Regional Student Groups and general operations. They are responsible for recruiting sponsors, grants and other funding opportunities. As well as creating and maintaining the budget.
More important, is possibly to maintain relations with sponsors and keep good terms with them, and making sure that there is a handover to the next person in line. Our organization has a high turnover rate, so hand over of information and contacts is very essential.

Event specific[edit]
Not all the symposia are necessarily done with a member of the finance committee, but we recommend it to have sparring. ISCB has the infrastructure needed to send out invoices, and do reimbursements, but we are by no means obliged to use this infrastructure. Eg. if a symposium is in Europe, and we collaborate with ECCB or an RSG, they could take care of the funds.
