Note: The ET is currently discussing expanding the RSG committee by adding Regional Vice-Chairs. This page will be updated to reflect those changes when they are finalised.

Objectives

The main objective of the RSG committee is to serve as a link between the various RSGs and the SC (in particular the ET). The RSG committee Chair (or Vice Chairs) will endeavor to make sure that the interests of the RSGs are taken into account in the ET and other SC committees plans and simultaneously make sure the RSGs are aware of the broad interests and long term visions of the SC.

Responsibilities

At present, the responsibilities of the RSG Committee include

• Assist with the creation of new RSGs
• Coordinate annual renewal of RSGs recognition
• Coordinate review of funding proposals and disbursement of funds in the RSG funding program
• Arrange for periodic skype calls (or any other kind of conference calls) between RSG leaders
• Coordinate notices about RSG events for posting on the website
