Student Council Leadership[edit]

The Student Council Leadership is defined as the Executive Team, the Committee chairs and the RSG leaders. The Student Council Leaders have access to Basecamp, which is the main means of communication.

Executive Team[edit]

The positions in the Student Council Executive Team (ET) are filled by the elected leaders. The key role of the ET is the sustainable development of the Student Council and its Regional Student Groups (RSGs) and the coordination of all activities. For this purpose several committees are established that are chaired and occupied by SC members. The SCET is responsible for managing these committees.

More specifically, a task-list of the ET includes:

  • Managing election process and nominating candidates
  • Budget management
    • Oversee the spending
    • Apply for new budget
    • Oversee fundraising committee
  • General administrative tasks
    • Membership database
    • Basecamp maintenance
  • Documentation
    • Reporting to:
      • Members
      • ISCB Board of Directors
    • Strategic planning
  • Communication with ISCB
  • Responding to inquiries from members and non-members
  • Facilitating the work of committees

Note: there is a distinction between SC leaders and SC volunteers. The former term will be reserved for members of the ET and anyone who is a member or chair of one of the SC committees.
